Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Each Thursday, Angel Sammy and Teddy from Two Spoiled Cats host a poetry challenge. They provide an inspiration photo, and participants write an accompanying poem. I missed writing a poem for the past couple of weeks, but I have one today. In the past, I often added a cat or two to the photo, but I had not done so in quite a long time. So, today, I decided to add three. As you can see, Raleigh, Cooper Murphy and Teddy are now part of the photo and the poem.
Second Thoughts
When we decided to hitch a ride,
this load looked comfy and stable.
Now, it’s feeling precarious,
and we don’t know if we’ll be able
to hang on until our destination.
It couldn’t be our size that caused this slip,
but if we don’t jump, we may not survive,
which would be a sad conclusion to this trip.
If we had money we could call an Uber,
as walking would be slow and tedious.
Neither seems like a feasible option
but ending as roadkill would be hideous.
Procrastination will not serve us well, so
it seems we must soon make a decision,
as any moment these sacks could give way,
and our bodies suffer a fatal collision.

Thankful Thursday
Thursday is also the day of the week when we share those things for which we are thankful.
Finally, most of the snow/ice that has been around for more than three weeks has melted. Only a few piles of snow remain, which makes me very happy.
